It’s best to apply 6–9 months before your preferred intake.

Yes. International students can work up to 20 hours per week during semesters and full-time during scheduled breaks, both on-campus and off-campus, if enrolled in a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).

The PGWP allows you to work in Canada after completing your studies.

  • Study program 8 months–2 years → Work permit for same length.

  • Program 2 years or longer → Work permit for up to 3 years.
This work experience helps qualify for Permanent Residency (PR).

You must show proof of funds covering one year of tuition + CAD 20,635 for living costs (as per IRCC’s 2024 update).
This can be shown through a GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) and/or bank statements.

Under the SDS (Student Direct Stream), most visa applications are processed within 4 to 8 weeks — provided all documents and biometrics are submitted correctly.

  • SDS: Faster visa process; requires IELTS (6.0 in each band) and GIC deposit (CAD 20,635).

  • Non-SDS: For students who don’t meet SDS criteria; processing may take longer and requires stronger financial documentation.
